Char Mar Ridge Park is all about connections, bringing together a network of trails, waterways, and neighborhoods to provide access to nature, history, fitness, and even travel. This park became a reality thanks to connections made with several local landowners. It is named for a beloved grandmother – Charlotte (Char), and mother – Maria (Mar).
I couldnt find anything specific, my guess is: Charmar without the hyphen as a name is associated with charm or beauty, but I can't figure out why the park name has a hyphen... it also may have something to do with whoever owned it before but I can't find any info on them.
