Make a complaint to management, give them a chance to rectify the situation. If you've been going there all this time, there's a reason, right? Don't let one person's rude actions keep you and your friends from visiting again. As long as it is an actual Service Animal, and not an Emotional Support Animal, there should be no reason you can't enjoy the restaurant as usual. (As long as the animal isn't disruptive) Unfortunately, the ADA, at this time, does not recognize Emotional Support Animals as Service Animals. I work in the service industry, and have had extensive training in the area of Service Animals, some people are confused over the ADA laws. 'Kim' needs to better training, or find another indistry to work in. I love the Gold 'N Silver Inn, hope you will enjoy it more in the future :-)
We DO NOT refuse people with service animals! We welcome them. We DO refuse to serve people with pets. We have postings in the restaurant that distinguish service animals and pets. We follow guidelines established by the Washoe County Health department. We are happy to explain the difference to customers that want to pass off their pets as legitimate service animals.
People don't want to eat with a dog laying on the floor or a yapping rat (chihuahua) if you go out to eat leave your dog home! I do not eat at a restaurant if a animal is in the room.
Good! Now I don't have to eat with a stinking dog in the room.
You must remember all these dogs that you see are not service dogs they're just a companion so keep that in mind before you get too excited
