At 3 they're teaching them to focus, follow directions and learn self control.
3 and 4 years olds enjoy physical activity and anything play. They have a strong imagination and a desire to be less dependent on their usual care givers. The problem we find is that many children in this age group have a hard time with structured group activities like those usually found in martial arts classes. The solution we found was to provide them with their own program that targets their specific stage of development in a manner that keeps them entertained while at the same time teaching them skills that set them up for success. Skills such as focus, being able to follow directions, self-control, manners, balance, ect.
