Hi Anthony, in order to be a security officer in the state of South Carolina applicants must meet all SLED requirements including passing a SLED criminal background check. Some factors that automatically disqualify a candidate from being approved by SLED include (but are not limited to) a conviction of a felony OR a crime of moral turpitude, as well as any pending criminal charges of any nature.
