According to Georgia law a driver must be at least 16 with a valid legal driver’s license; but we don’t allow anyone under of the age of 21 to rent or to drive an Island Carts golf cart. So if you’re renting from us you must be at least 21 with a valid legal driver’s license.
16, just like a car. But you might want to check the local new rules. Last September when we were there the Island council was considering the limits where they were allowed to drive. The locals said that the carts were impeding traffic flow for the commuters going to work off the island.
