My sister came to state as a permanent resident in 2017, she is 60 years old and works part time last year.She filed herself tax return with low income. Can she apply for any health insurance w/free or very low premium? Thanks for the answers.

Yes ma'am she can. If she has a disability, she can also get SSI. In Gainesville they have a program for us poor folks, it's called Charity Care. It's reduced prices and goes all the way to free.

She can definitely apply but she will have to wait until she reaches 5 years as a resident or meet some conditional entry requirement like refugee or asylee. Georgia highlands can assist with some medical things. Google them they are in cumming
