This building is called Handicapped housing of America run by HUD. Your rent is based on 1/3rd of your income for all HUD apts . You have to be disabled and you have to be drawing SSI or Iong term disability or drawing Income from your last job or Income from defacs. This isn't a regular apt building. They do crimal background checks too. You have to make a appointment to see if your approved. You have to get on the waiting list if your approved. Sorry to tell you but i was on the waiting list for 3years. If your over 62 the easiest apt to get into is Applewood towers in Lawrenceville. I have a relative that lives there. There is 3apt buildings and they are much bigger than this 40 unit building and the turn over is so much faster. If you still want to call for an appointment I don't know if the waiting list is open or closed but by all means call and ask. S.
