The park was there before the neighborhood. When the park was built, that area was a large farm. Developers came in after the park opened, but the road had to be left open for the public to access the park.
I understand your perspective. I see it just as another ROAD, you you said "entrance road", houses and subdivisions can be built along side any road, and so that doesn't bother me much. Although I think that the road straight to the park should be a MAIN road with no stops. Folks from the neighbouring houses should be the one stopping to park visitors.
