I tried to buy 3 tickets for a concert for a total of $324. The "service fee" for the tickets was $110 totaling $334. This is ridiculous. What is involved with service fees and can I buy tickets at Jones Beach box office and avoid the fee?

That sounds like you used a ticket broker of some sort. I usually purchase my tickets with Ticketmaster and never had those fees.
