Yes, there are boat ramps in two places, one ramp is large and mostly for boats with trailers. But at the picnic area, there are also places for boats and docks where you could easily put a kayak in the water.
I was told that they do have campsite on the water at the new State Park. The old State Park Only has 1 and I was told so I can't say 100%. But the new one has lake front camping.
If you go to NC State Parks. Com select the park and then hit contact us there's an email address and they usually reply within an hour or two on the email
