Why does WinnDixie insist on scanning my driver license to by beer? I'm in my 60's. Just bought my last beer at their store and won't go there again unless I see something on sale I NEED. Who wants to track how much beer I buy? Big Brother BS!

Its not to track it...its proof they checked your ID as required by law.

The only reason they scan it instead of typing in a d.o.b. is to prove they have actually checked and guaranteed your age. Before this, they (and all retail cashiers) were typing in a random date and getting in trouble. Don't take it personally. It protects everyone.
