I think it was maybe more than an hour, we went for sunset and arrived early. They had a bar open with fairly cheap beers. That's the best plan to que & grab an upper deck seat ..we had dinner, lobster rolls or something similar. Be ready to order when they come by so you have time to enjoy dinner. It was last summer (Aug) this was a fun surprise boat ride as a bonus from the water taxi purchase.
