They do have a small book section. Any arts/crafts how-to books they'd def take.
They do take some old books. I have bought craft books, and have seen books on art and design. If the textbooks are very old, esp with interesting pictures, people may use them for art project. If the paperbacks are general fiction, you could search for "free little library" in your neighborhood
I don't think they take books. Try the library or goodwill
I've seen old textbooks, but I don't know about paperbacks.
