I just got home from my first visit with Dr. Margolin. I was there 3 1/2 hours. There is a lot of paperwork to fill out, obviously, & he did some tests. Despite my pain, the wait didn't seem so bad. He seems to be a gentle, thorough doctor.
Each patient is different, the first visit may take longer, primarily if no prior test or no records available or there problems with priro history or urine screens or the person is an add on to the existing full schedule (like it happened recently when another practice closed doors without prior notice or sending and records to us and the patients were in danger of running out of meds). It would not be HIPAA compliant to discuss each individual patient....
The office is very busy, visits can range from 1.5hrs on up. The staff, Dr. Margolin and his PA's are all very busy but always kind and compassionate which goes a long way towards making the wait more bearable. Plus they will all do their best to help you.
If your a 1st time visiting it can take up to 5 hours,So make sure to eat before you go.
