If you are in Brooklyn You can take the A to nostrand switch go downstairs get the C to Franklin take the shuttle train to botanic gardens and then get the 3 train from there which woukd be Franklin Avenue station

In Manhattan, 42 st, Chambers st, and Fulton st are the only 3 stations where they intersect without a transfer to another train.
