Well at Dunkin, (I worked at the forum) we frost them, we do not bake the donuts. Especially at a popular location they run quick.
I don't believe they make donuts but ONCE each day and that is early in the morning before they actually open for business. That was the procedure in the past. I agree with you that it makes little sense to not make more donuts through the day. Makes less sense to stop serving customers an hour before closing.
