Anna - sorry you felt that way. We have been attending for months and money is rarely discussed but it does come up occasionally as it is a frequent topic in the Bible. The Sunday 930 and 1122 service sermons are live. Streamed at the three satellite campuses. The worship is live at all campuses and there are pastors at every location that usually make themselves known. While coe22 may not be for everyone, it has been great for us and many many others. If not right for you, I encourage you to give us another shot or at least keep searching for a church family that feels right.
I'm sorry that you had a bad experience at Eleven 22. You attended a satellite campus, which was not prerecorded; it was actually shown simultaneously with the live sermon. I understand that, based on my experiences with other churches, the "money" aspect alone may initially seem like "propaganda;" however, I urge you to take the time to research the heart of Pastor Joby and the Church, and realize that he (based on God's word) is not only referring to finances, but also to giving of our time and talents. The heartbeat of the church is to encourage all people to discover and deepen a relationship with Jesus Christ. Pastor Joby has an amazing ability to make the scriptures understandable in a very powerful and relevant way. I am in the 50+ age group and, for the first time in my life, I can truly say I understand what it means to have a relationship with Jesus. I encourage you to listen to his online sermons which can all be found free online. Blessings.
Anna I am also sorry service tonight was not what you expected. We are under a "One" more initiative right now. We want to be able to serve one more adult, one more teenager, one more child, one more disadvantaged, one more area of town, one more planted church in a foreign country and we as a church are gathering together to make that happen. Have a blessed evening.
