You should be at the Station 30 mins before your departure time. The staff is awesome and will help you with anything you need.

It is transfretation in the USA, I would call before heading out. I would get there a 1/2 to 1 hour before your scheduled departure time

At least 30 minutes before but I would call and make sure the train is running on time b/c the last few times I rode the train it was hours late

For courtesy, one should arrive about an hour before train departure, to check bags and ensure a smooth boarding.
