You can order straight cream to make your own butter if you want. Not cheap (due to bureaucracy and how much the state charges for permission to sell) but if making your own butter and buttermilk is the goal... The only other way is to get your own cows which, in order to keep it flowing, requires a rigorous 2× daily milking schedule. I'm willing to pay the little extra for the service so I can do other things.
Mostly Jersey cows which yields a higher butter fat....great tasting milk from great people....highly recommended!!!
