It depends on what you mean by a proper notice. The police can not simply come and kick you out if you are a tenant. Now if an eviction has been granted through the court, the judge will allow 5 days for you to vacate the premises. Once the 5 days have lapsed, a constable will come out to the property to change the locks. First step is to identify if there has been any eviction granted. You can check by going to maricopa.gov to do a search for any cases filed under you name.
