My family is Torah observant and we have to go to Cruces or Albuquerque to find Kosher items. Wish Walmart would at least carry the basics for Kosher items. They do carry a nice selection of organic items which are marked kosher. The Walmart in Alamogordo use to stock a small selection of decorations for Channukah but we live here now and have to go to Abq for these specialty items. I think the T or C Walmart caters to the tourists and not to the locals. Although Bullocks does carry the wine we like and a few kosher items. If there were a Jewish Deli in the area we would surely shop at it.
First of all, Walmart is not going to serve a demographic that is less than 5% of the population here. So Africans, Jews, Arabs and others are out of luck. Simple. Why are the prices so high? because you live in a small town 100 miles from anywhere. Cost money to ship that Chinese garbage out into the Wilderness. Why are there no extra employees? Because they've run through and ticked off everyone willing to work that drudge job. Millennials don't want to work. If you notice, many of the workers are over 50. That's because us Boomers are the last generation to know what a work ethic is.
Not sure. I don't live in TorC. But I know the Family dollar store carries some products like that. If not I know for sure Hatch Family Dollar does. Sorry couldn't be of more help.
That a way to tell blacks they are not wecome at this store.
It is a strange little area for sure. But I know that Ive had similar question, and was told the Wal Marts are very into trying to pick stuff for each Wal Mart that is going to be pertinent to the people of the area. And Im guessing there arent many black people in the area. Im Jewish, they dont have much in the way of Kosher Either....Lol.
