I have full sleeve tattoos on both arms. My last tattoo was over 10 yrs ago, can i donate blood? I was turned away at other locations due to "no ink free area where they can draw blood from".

It depends when your last tattoo was done. I believe it has to be a year? If not they will not let you.

Ok i was allowed to donate. The issue with a tattoo is there can not be any ink in the area where the vein is or where they will stick you with the needle.

That's a good question yog would have to call the center but there they take plasma donation not blood they draw out blood and separate the bloods and plasma and then return blood back to you
