This is not a Mike's Garden website but to answer your question yes you can plant them in the fall especially if you plant them now if you wait any later they will not be able to start establishing and then you need to trim them back cut them back in like March it depends on what kind of roses you're planting if you plant the old timers like I like it's a little different for The Knockout roses I like the old timers because they have a better aroma then The knockouts or the hybrids the hybrids and knock out your kind of setlist what do you plan to plant
