Why would you take an 8 year old to see a movie for adults? Not advised to take a little kid to a PG-13 film.

A good tool for parents is the "Parents Guide" on IMDB. It lists things that happen in the movie with pretty good detail. From how many of each cuss word is used to other specifics about scenes with innuendos. I use this feature cause the rating system for movies can't give you the whole story.
