The key to timing is "the schedule"... When you buy your ticket you get a scheduled time based on how many groups are ahead of you. You may need to wait 10 min or wait 1.5 hours.
I visited there last week and spent more than 90 min. I used audio tour with Japanese one. Photo panel and audio tour are almost already known things for me, but it was completely different experience for me to hear/see it at sixth floor‼ Basrd on my memomy, thete was more than 20 photo panels and aprox. 2 min audio for each panel. Sometimes you can additionaly choose another 2min suplementary audio.
Like Mark says it really depends on the time and day. I went during the week and there was absolutely no wait.
We were there an hour, but didn't get all through the audio tour. We could've easily spent another hour.
90 minutes
You can walk thru the museum in an hour. If you do the audio tour, it might take 2 hours.
