Is it safe to eat the fish? My partner and I were there yesterday 05/10/19 and this individual came by talking about bad bacteria levels and contaminated fish?

Yes, cook it and your good. I've never heard anything at all like that ever. Signs would be posted if there was a danger.

Occasionally an entire lake can get contaminated with a certain bacteria that affects the fish. I'm sure there would have been signs posted however.
