Assalamualaikum Sister, yes women are allowed to pray in the masjid but the condition is their section is seperated from that of men. Men and women are not allowed to pray shoulder to shoulder. Islam doesnt forces anybody to do anything, its a faith which was made simple and easy to understand, practice and contemplate. Hope this helps !

I prayed there only once on a visit to Chicago. There were almost as many women as men. There section is separate.

There's a beautifully allocated women's area with their own wudu, bathroom and shoe section that places them above the men.
