Downtown is pretty expensive. I won't suggest you. But you can rent apartment other places and other mosques also have Islamic education center.

Rent is very expensive in this area because it is downtown. In addition, it is somewhat unsafe area at night. If you are looking for a 2 bedroom apartment for you and your children, probably you will pay up to $2000. You can get something more affordable if you move away from downtown to the north, and the mosque is very accessible using public transportation. Unless you want to live in downtown for the sake of experience, I would advise against living there.
