Wow so the nearest place I would recommend is Duncanville the church is outside of an area called oak cliff which is a not so savory area in Dallas...its the hood.. but the church sits on its own compound outside this area with plenty of security so no worries .....Google Duncanville hotels but stay away from Desoto. You can also try Market Center Area it's in Dallas near downtown about 20 mins or less from the church try Courtyard Marriott Market Center
Yes, depending on your budget, how far you want to drive, and what your other plans are during your visit may best direct the area in which you stay. Consider hotels in Dallas, Duncanville, Grand Prairie off of I-20, Hwy 67, or I-30 for close by hotels. The Arlington/Grand Prairie area off of I-20, I-30, and Hwy 360 will expand your options considerably but are still a short drive as well. Finally, staying in or near downtown Dallas gives you higher end hotels as options without making the drive too far.
