Do you by chance know what day she was bred on or around the date that you think she was bred on? A canines gestational period is about 63 days. If it has been at least 45 days since she was bred, we can do an xray to see if the bones have calcified yet and it can tell us about how many she may be having. If it is under 45 days, it will be hard to tell when she will be due if we do not know the date in which she was bred on. An examination can be done and the DVM can palpate the dog's abdomen to see if anything can be felt and what size the fetuses may be. If she is already producing milk, it will be sooner as they start producing milk closer to the time that they will be going into labor. I'm not sure if it's the same as an ultrasound but I recently took my furbaby for a checkup and they did a radiograph on her and the price was about $131
