Is there any near by hotels? Is there any that is walking distance?

Yes. Phoenix is spread out...so you can find lots of places to stay. Any where from expensive to cheap. As a matter of fact we rented a room for Cinco de mayo weekend and the festival in Phoenix...our room was 2 blocks away but, that place was expensive. Friends stayed a few more blocks away and their room was a lot cheaper.
