I'm coming into Las Vegas from out of state in hopes of using the paratransit service, but I noticed that their offices are closed in the middle of the day on a Thursday or Friday, which is odd for a Midwesterner!

You have to be certified in your home state for paratransit services. RTC has reciprocal services with most states and if your services faxes your information to RTC in most cases they will certify you. Do it at least 2 weeks before your anticipated arrival.
