All drivers licensing is now being issued regionally through the KY Transportation Cabinet. You can get any type of license including the Real ID at any location statewide including Independence, Covington and Burlington in NKY. They prefer appointments and have been filling up fast. You can find more information and make an appointment at www.drive.Ky.gov.
I don't believe they do ID at all this is for courts only they don't have a room for ID'S unfortunately hope that helps.
Real ID is issued in Independence. I believe that the Kenton county location will begin offering them at some point, but please call ahead to confirm. It's better to wait on hold than to wait in line. At least, to me.
