Goodies pawn in Hebron stays open until like 8pm! But, like you said, in the area... It's about 15 or 20 minutes away from Lawrenceburg, but it doesn't feel like it. I'm a fan of frequenting the shop and the guys down there.
Most every Gold "Buyer" is a very shrewd buyer. They will try to get your gold for little of nothing. Go in knowing what your item is worth for scrap. It doesn't matter how beautiful the design, or how it looks like it just came from the jewellers case, when you sell to a gold buyer, you're selling scrap.
Best spot would be a pawn shop and I believe only open from 9-5. I say be prepared to be under cut though bc they like there money and to make money.
