Honestly? Because if you, or anyone else asks me a question, they get the truth. 1) NOT ENOUGH EMPLOYEES 2) PEOPLE, IN GENERAL, DON'T CARE. NOT EVEN ABOUT THEMSELVES. 3) HIGHER PROFITS BECAUSE YOU DON'T HAVE TO PAY AS MANY EMPLOYEES So, we go in to shop for what we need/want. That is If you can find it. Then, after all the walking, the unruly children and inconsiderate adults, you now have to check out your items, pay for them, bag them, Stop and Prove you paid for your stuff, and walk out to your car, unload them, and be gone. I ABSOLUTELY HATE WALMART. They came in to being, drove out the small business owners, and now EXPECT you to do all the work. Great place huh?
The switch to self serve checkouts has removed "associates" from the floor/departments where they are needed. The majority appear to be up front where most carry on conversations with their co-workers in the checkout corral or main exit aisle. The ratio is typically 2 working their rear ends off, 10 talking and blocking. I have not seen an actual store manager in over a year (I'm not a "Karen" BTW 😉)
Walmart makes over a Million every minute! They've got a case of too much money 💰 & not enough care. Amazon is giving Walmart a run for the money though! Walmart now knows how all the little Mom & Pop stores felt when they cut them out of the race. Sam Walton who founded Walmart would turn over in his grave if he knew what his Children have done with his wholesome business. Walmart needs to step it up for your customers or we will be stepping elsewhere to get our necessities! We don't want to check ourselves out. Keep better inventory so that we can get what we need .
Because it's freaking Walmart..they r all to busy talking to each other..
Service sucks.
Customer Avoidance 101: Always Act Too Busy Too Help Anyone Else
It's Walmart. I'm 57 years old. Walmart came to our state in the 80's. As long as I can remember going to Walmart has been a cringeworthy experience. Even when Sam was alive, and they still had checkout lanes. BUT, it has got worse. The lack of employees, and forcing customers to check themselves out has turned an already bad experience into a horrible experience. Nobody can find anything in that place. Including the employees. I was looking for am item, asked 3 different employees. One just said they didn't know. The other 2 sent me looking in isles that did not have the item. I finally left and bought it at Mennards. At my nearest Walmart, the employees are seldom friendly, and many times rude. Walmart needs to go. We need to bring back some of the better stores that closed after Walmart showed up.
Gosh, been in a few times lately, but never had to wait. Unfortunate others had such an issue and I needed some 'specific tech help' re: coaxial splitters I and really thank the person who tried & helped me. I will pay more attention and see if I'm missing something...
There short staffed for sure... But waiting that long I would walk out, find a mom and pop store may pay more... but assistance comes much faster
Because there's no employees it's all automated
1) not enough staff
It's Walmart
