There are many nice places our four legged friend will enjoy in this area. There are trails that many don't know about thstvrun alongside the stream near River Road. Walk adjacent to it and you'll come across a fork in the path that heads to the left. Don't be surprised if you see a deer or other animals. This backpath will take you to the adjacent area that is similar to the entrance you stopped at to get into the woods. As always, dogs must be on a leach. You must also pickup any droppings your dog made during your stay. Starting in spring there are tables that the park district ptovides. They usually drop them by the parking area for people to move wherever they want in the open area. Along the paths you might see a garbage bag or two. Be kind to the fellow users of the park and remove a piece of garbage if it's along the path. There is a volunteer group that helps to clean the park so pitch in to help keep it beautiful for generations to come. Enjoy your experience.
