When did you begin stopping your customers at the exit door and ask to see their receipt?I obviously paid for the grocery items as they were all bagged.I can see if it was a TV or other high dollar item,but groceries?Meijer's treats customers better

Your the first I've heard​ of this happening to for groceries. If the alarm goes off for anything they'll check, of course. Maybe it's a random check to discourage stealing.

Perhaps around the holidays when theft is high they do this... I think it's just a way that they keep the prices low... could be for other reasons that we don't realize too
