Please, before you purchase a gun purchase a gun safe. The staff at the gun center can provide additional details but I'll lay out the general process. You must take pass a test to earn the Handgun Safety Certificate. It costs $25 I believe, and the Kings Gun Center will administer the test. Convictions may prevent you from passing, including any felonies, and certain misdemeanors like domestic violence. The DOJ provides a full list online. The background check costs $25 or $35 I believe. Then you can buy the gun. Of course then there is the 10 day waiting period. Please practice safe and responsible gun ownership.
