Okay here's the real answer: Walmart doesn't care about your phone call. Walmart focuses on price and automation. Target focuses on customer relationships. Therefore, Walmart does not have a phone operator. They see it as a complete waste of money. And the employees are resentful because they don't get breaks, so therefore they just let the phone ring in each of the Departments. A customer phone call is a nuisance and it just slows down overall employee productivity. So, good luck on connecting with an helpful employee

Probably depends on what time the usual rush comes in, better to call around those times if it's not seriously urgent (OMG my baby has projectile ____!) People in retail generally try their best to help everyone, and it can get really busy. I wish I had a dime for how many phone callers say they were on hold for 10 minutes (hey, that's a good day!) as if it were 10 years... ಠ ل͟ ಠ .
If the employees of Wal-Mart hate their lives & jobs, why not find a better job ? Why make the customers miserable? WTF hv we done to be treated as if we're trailer park trash ? Besides, i keep my trailor really clean. !
Not every dept has a separate phone line .so the employees have to walk to the nearest phone available. That's if they're not tied up with other customers in the store . And many times a dept. Is not staffed appropriately. Many times they. Have one person for 3 or more dept's and the associate is not able to access a phone . The company's always trying to save on payroll so they have less employees available than you think . Unfortunately most people cannot understand this company's constantly changing process that lacks any kind of organization or sense for the employees. Unless you work there or have worked there could you possibly understand what truly takes place . Instead most people take their frustration out on employees who can't possibly meet your demands at times . You need to take it up with management instead of abusing someone who is following the company's guideline . Many customers are just idiots for no apparent reason but their own ignorant gratification.
