Most BMX bikes come with only a rear brake. However some places will sell them without brakes. I am not sure which option action bikes has. Your best bet is to call and ask them. But my guess is they will have a rear brake, as that is the required setup for any kind of sanctioned racing.

I do not know BMX. Not even "off-road". Road rider. The staff there is knowledgable, & I'm sure would be glad to talk to you. Weekends, they ride.
