You can pretty much wear what you want
We live in Knoxville and visit there all of the time. I am originally from up north in Michigan and for myself I do wear flip-flops while tubing and it's not a big deal for me. So I say have fun.
Would you wear flip flops in snow any where else?
I would not use flip flops here your toes will get very cold ,also they have a snow area that gets slippery and you need a good grip. Everyone will have a great time
I would recommend closed toe shoes. It's cold in there.

I would not u could loose it going down on the tube and the fake snow/ice is cold
i wouldnt recommend it while you are playing in the snow - my son took his socks and shoes off and his feet were numb lol If you are just tubing I don't see why not
