In most cases a person arrested for DUI in Utah County, by the Sheriff's Office or any other agency, is booked into the Utah County Jail. Most of the time they are released within a few hours. Sentencing for a first offense DUI conviction is minimum 2 days in jail. But that can be replaced with 48 hours of community service. Sentences usually go up for subsequent DUI convictions, and can include a prison sentence for anything at or after the third DUI conviction. I hope this helps. Sergeant Spencer Cannon

Thank you Sergeant Cannon. I was asking ,because someone I know just keeps getting DUI's and he is never going to learn until he has to pay a price for it. This last time he went to the hospital instead of jail. I'm afraid that one of these times he will kill someone.
