They do. My family's car battery once died while watching one of the pirates of the Caribbean movies in a thunderstorm. Watching the end of the movie from the safety of the indoor concessions was epic. Thunder claps and lightning flashes added to the entire effect of the storm going on on the screen. And then staff was nice and jumped our battery at the end of the movie.

Yes. Just remember if its hot out and raining, you can turn your car on for air but you cant idle long. Vice versa if its cold and rainy.
