Yes, we can perform extractions. It is necessary to have an x-ray of the tooth and complete a limited exam in order to see if the tooth is able to be extracted at our office or if a referral to an oral surgeon is required. We would refer to the oral surgeon's office when the roots of the tooth are near the sinus cavity or potentially interfere with a nerve or if the tooth is so badly broken that it becomes extremely difficult to extract. The age and bone level of the patient is also taken into account. The other reason we might not be able to extract a tooth is if the patient's health is compromised.

I had an extraction done there. Have had done in the past and always had problems. This time I had no issues at all and the pain was minimal. Dr. McCarthy did an excellent job!
