Planet Fitness is like the McDonald's in the fitness industry. They all have the same menu, or equipment. Once you've seen one, you've seen them all. Their amenities include a hydro-massage bed, massage chairs, tanning beds, and a piece of equipment based on ultra sonic frequencies that is claimed to help the body recover faster. No pool, free weights (except some limited dumbbells, up to 75 pounds, and barbells, up to 60 pounds), sauna, hot tub, courts, or other that you may find at a club. Planet fitness is a smaller gym, with some decent equipment, and plenty of cardio options. For the price, it seems to be an excellent choice, but I would not recommend to serious trainers, or those looking fo cross-activities. It seems to draw an older crowd, and is great for someone just getting started. The Naperville location is very well maintained. Not all locations are, as I've worked out at some that actually have rust on the moving parts of their equipment, which can cause injury.
