Trails here are well maintained and easy to follow. There is relatively little change in elevation throughout so there is no hill climbing: easy for kids. Keep in mind though, this is a forest with venomous snakes and spiders; children should not be unattended. As far as mileage is concerned, this is a 104 acre area. The trails are more of a "web" than 'get on this trail, walk this far, then get here'. Look at the trail map on the website. That will make more sense than my description. That being said, you should be able to walk as far as you want during the park's open hours without walking the same trail twice.
It's more like an arboretum means botanical gardens rather than hiking spot. If you like trees and Walk this place is an excellent spot for you. But it is not a very huge area or trails where you can hike a lot. I hope this answer could help for your question. If you like my answer, then press the like button.
