There are a number of things that coukd restrict you from donating. Current medications, piercings and tattoos received less then a year of you donating, illegal drug use are some of the reasons for being restricted or deferred from donating. That's why there is a process you have to go through including sitting in with one of the staff nurses for a physical to clear you as an accepted donor.
I'm not 100% sure best way to find would be call and find out I know if you have something like an sti or STD. Tattoos ontop of the veins and cant donate. Recent surgery... not sure what else
