I agree. The lifetime tag is the way to go.. It will pay for itself in 5 years.
I believe you do in NC. Only exceptions are if it for Farm Use, and in that case you must put a "Farm Use Only" tag on it. When you tag it, consider doing a lifetime tag. It does not require annual updating of tag sticker and saves you money in the long run if you have the trailer for awhile.
