I'm guessing your sense of smell is substantially keener than mine, Steve. I'm no longer living in Florence but, when I did, I shopped Harris Teeter probably 80% of the time. I don't remember it ever smelling of fish. Being someone who is rather repulsed by almost all forms of seafood and particularly its smell, I don't believe I would've shopped there for over 30 years had I thought it smelled like a fish market. I'm sorry you've had such a negative experience at HT. There's not a Harris Teeter where I'm currently living and I truly miss doing my grocery shopping with them.
