They do accept strays but usually they would like a small donation to help offset the cost of caring for the animal. Even so, they are usually at full capacity and an appointment is required to set up an animal surrender so it's best to call anyway.
Yes as long as you take it to the vet and make sure there’s absolutely nothing wrong with it and then you have to schedule an “assessment” to see if the cat will be good enough to keep in the facility until it finds it’s home. If there’s something wrong, they won’t accept it.
